John Swaney is a 35 year old songwriter and musician from Tell City, Indiana. As a child he learned to play the piano, and later learned to play guitar, mandolin, and drums, as well as other instruments. His songwriting teeters on the edge of country-rock, pop, and classic rock.

John is also a brain cancer survivor since 2006. In June of 2008 he released his first Indie album, "Shadows of Angels", as part of a cancer benefit to raise money for his family.

In September of 2008 John released "Jerich Town", a loosley tied together tale relating to John's hometown, yet with fictionalized characters and events.

John is married with two kids.
