Megan King grew up in the Northeast Indiana area, and started writing songs and playing guitar at the age of 16. Since that time, Megan has gleaned over 11 years of songwriting and performance experience nationwide. Last year, Megan opened up the stage for the Ohio River Valley Folk Festival, for headliners such as Roger McGuinn (The Byrds) and Todd Snider. Megan took a break from the folk scene from 2006 until January 2008, when she decided to undertake a solo project which culminated with the release of Pretty Songs LP in April 2008. Pretty Songs LP is Megan’s most passionate and intimate release to date. Pretty Songs LP is purely Megan King.
