Biography
Peter Daldry comes from the small industrial town of Clydebank, 8
miles west of Glasgow Scotland. A town situated on the banks of
the river Clyde, famous for its shipbuilding, birth of the " Queen
Mary" and the "Queen Elizabeth's". It is from this rich and
historical background that Peter gets his song writing ideas and
inspirations.
Peter currently lives in Santa Clara California where he has
spent the last thirteen years. In that time he has ingrained
himself in the conscience of the Celtic Community, playing local
Scottish Games such as Pleasanton and Livermore Scottish
Games and also Ardenwood Tartan Day in Fremont.
Peter has caused people to stand up and take notice, displaying
a strong clear voice which Brian McNeill (formally from the
Battlefield Band) commented as "A very Fine Voice" and the
manic superb fiddler Michael Mullen (Tempest) to exclaim "A
Voice as smooth as Butter".
Peter armed with his guitar or bouzouki imparts a passion for the
old songs and ballads of his homeland and injects a vigorous
vitality for contemporary and self - penned songs that he sings
about. Having released a demo CD "For My Love"in 2004 with the
help of background whistles and pipes from the remarkable
David Brewer (Molly's Revenge).
Peter has just finished working on a full length CD with
emphasis on songs about his hometown of Clydebank
Scotland, along with the traditional music we all love
to hear.
This makes Peter Daldry
"A VOICE TO BE HEARD "
