Allan Comeau is a psychologist, newspaper columnist, UCLA Medical School clinical faculty member and singer-songwriter, who grew up in Massachusetts in the 60’s and now lives in Los Angeles. His compositional style is heavily influenced by the folk and country-rock music of the 60’s – Dylan, the Byrds – and the pop and rock sensibilities of the Beatles and James Taylor. Allan’s first Topanga Records CD release, Life Is in Session, co-produced by Loni Specter, explores the ironies of our times and the necessity for love, compassion, social justice, and a healthy sense of humor in our personal lives as well as in our relationships with one another.
