Monkeybars recently announced their official launch out of beta as a music ecommerce platform that rewards both artists and fans for their efforts. Musicians sell music and videos from the site and fans who buy content are then rewarded when social shares lead to sells. 100% of content proceeds go to musicians and fans. It’s an appealing offer yet one that faces numerous challenges as they address a two-sided market. I spoke with CEO Steve Koskie this week about the Monkeybars vision.
