8Tracks Comes To Sonos

For those who have yet to experience it firsthand, the allure of Sonos’ home digital music systems is easy to miss. Can’t you just plug your iPhone into a dock and be done with it, or connect a $99 Airport Express to your stereo? Eliot Van Buskirk explores the benefits of using the Sonos home system and how 8Tracks is helping them boost their profile.

Yes, of course you can, and it works pretty well — but if you’re a heavy music listener, and you live in a home of some kind, Sonos really does improve the experience significantly, by making it easy to listen to music from the cloud or your computers all over the house, controlling it with any of your devices. And if you walk out the door, the music continues to play, because the Sonos box itself is grabbing the music, instead of your computer or phone, whose connections and processors are freed up for other tasks.

With that out of the way, on to the (hardly earth-shattering) news: Sonos just added support for 8tracks, the playlist sharing service. Click on the link below to read more…
