Bohemian Guitars Stretches Kickstarter Goals, Announces Free Online Concert

Last time we spoke with Bohemian Guitars, these guys were preparing to launch a Kickstarter campaign, and basically they have been killing it. Just about 20 days into the campaign and they have 254 backers, raised $44,129, and are already 136% funded with another 15 days still to go.

Additionally, Bohemian Guitars, after reaching their funding goal of $32,000 in one week, recently have released stretch goals, to try and maximize their momentum in the final two weeks of the campaign. We have broken down some of their updated goals and highlighted some other exciting news they have in the pipeline.

So, the new Kickstarter goals. To start, Bohemian Guitars divided their stretch goals into three levels:
• 1st level, $54,000 - Everyone who purchased a guitar will receive a custom Bohemian guitar strap in “Kickstarter green”.
• 2nd level, $64,000 - Everyone will receive the guitar strap and a pack of Bohemian Guitars branded guitar picks
• 3rd level, $100,000 - Guitar backers receive all of the above as well as an I-rig! Which is a very cool gadget I just learned about that turns your i-phone into a guitar amp interface using any regular speaker.

These guys are hoping that they can hit all three goals and share some fun shwag with all of their supporters and fans who have so graciously backed this Bohemian brand.

Also as part of their updated Kickstarter stretch goals, Bohemian guitars released a new Sergio Castrezana design over the weekend, in addition to the single hand-painted guitar already available on Kickstarter, and we will see thirty limited edition guitars available with this arresting art. One Bohemian backer will get to purchase the original artwork along with their guitar, which is awesome.

Other notable updates include sending two more guitars to Of Monsters and Men. The band loved their Bohemian guitar - they played one during their entire show at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA - and have requested some additional Bohemian Guitars for other band members…pretty neat.

And between building guitars and doling out some sample sounds to bands, you know, like Of Monsters and Men, Jonti/Gotye, etc., these guys also will be all over the place coming up—San Francisco Music Tech conference in February as well SXSW in Austin in March. Some big, grinning faces also have revealed that some new Boho designs will be released at SXSW. The only clue they gave me is that…“They will be hot!” Wonder what they’ve got up their sleeves…

…Apparently a lot. After talking for about 15 minutes, I could tell the four Bohemian co-founders were being coy and withholding something from me (I am a journalist of course), and so I told them to spill…and so glad I did.

The Boston based jam-band Comanchero ( will be playing four Bohemian oil can instruments live onstage for a free concert on Wednesday 2/13 at 8:45 pm EST.  Viewers can tune in as it will be broadcast live via Ustream without any advertisements! Details below!
