Walletini is a mobile app designed to manage your group ticket buying experience. It also offers a scanning option to provide one’s ticket at the door.
Still under development, Walletini seems like a particularly useful app if you do buy tickets for groups and if it ultimately handles working with multiple vendors in a relatively seamless manner. It’s also another example of the buildout of the mobile ticketing space.
Box office and ticketing software provider Vendini recently described its new Walletini mobile ticketing app as a: “free mobile app that allows fans to buy, store and transfer entertainment tickets from all major ticketing providers via any smartphone. This free app also makes it easy to get paid back from friends as it allows you to request and receive money right from your mobile device.”
“The app also eliminates the hassle of keeping track of paper tickets as users are able to simply show up at an event and have their tickets scanned at the door from their phones.”
In addition to basic ticket management, Walletini has an event discovery component as well as connections to Facebook and Twitter.
Basic transfer features are free. If a sender requires payment, Walletini processes that for a 2.6% fee to the receiver.
Walletini is still in the early stage but it sounds like a service with a lot of potential. Keep an eye on the FAQ for updates and links from the homepage for current mobile and web apps.
