Cakewalk Launches ScratchPad

Cakewalk’s first foray into the iOS world looks like fun. SonicScoop’s David Weiss reports the Boston-based developer announced the arrival of ScratchPad for iPad. The app’s expansive interface is designed to give studio pros, live performance musicians, and the casual thrill-seeker alike quick access to beat and group creation.

ScratchPad is available now on Apple’s iTunes Store for $7.99.

Using the tools onscreen, users have a handy (literally) way to tweak, scratch, stutter loops –  beat and groove creation is as simple as dragging and dropping multi-genre loops onto each of nine Expression Pads. Click on the link below to preview a demo video and find out more…
