eMusic Turns up the Volume on First-Ever New York Music Week

Download-and-discovery service eMusic announced that it will commemorate New York Music Week (June 18-22) with a series of exclusive events and unique, on-site experiences that will give everyone—from eMusic members to local listeners—a chance to explore all the first-ever celebration has to offer.

Events will take place as a part of New Music Seminar (NMS), its New York Music Festival and American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) Indie Week.

Starting today and continuing throughout NMS, eMusic’s renowned editorial staff will be covering the conference and festival on a dedicated NMS microsite—an all-access hub where eMusic will bring its unparalleled eye and ear for emerging artists and musical trends to life.

“New York Music Week is an amazing opportunity to see that scrappy young band before they make it big. We’re celebrating that spirit with a special event featuring The Yellow Dogs and Hooray for Earth—two bands that were part of eMusic Selects, a program that provides marketing and editorial support for emerging artists to help them breakthrough in the industry,” said J. Edward Keyes, eMusic’s editor-in-chief.

Coverage will include lists of artists to watch and events to attend, as well as conference highlights. eMusic’s NMS microsite also features a curated eMusic Radio station based on artists that made NMS’s “Artist on the Verge” list. Listen and learn more at: http://www.eMusic.com/NMS .
