Rock Hall Opens Archives

For the first time, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum is opening its archives to the public, giving music fans and scholars access to thousands of never-before-seen books, audio recordings, and videos.

The rare collection will be housed at a new facility at Cuyahoga Community College, just two miles from the original hall in Cleveland. There, visitors can pore over the history of their favorite bands in well-lit reading rooms or get white-glove access to some of the most coveted rock artifacts in the archives.

Though members of the public can begin visiting January 17, the new addition will be officially dedicated during a ceremony Monday, April 9 in the lead-up to the Rock Hall of Fame inductions scheduled for April 14.
