Concert promoter Tyler Fey stepped out of his car into a crisp Monday morning at Red Rocks’ upper parking lot.

As the son of famed concert promoter Barry Fey, the venue is practically etched into the 26-year-old’s DNA.

He saw his first concert (Sting) here when he was three days old; on his fourth birthday, Steve Miller brought him on stage during a show that Barry’s company, Feyline, promoted to let him strum his guitar.

Renowned Japanese jazz pianist Aya Sekine has announced her very own festival, Aya Festival 2017.
The festival, scheduled to take place on November 18th and 19th, will feature Japanese indie rock acts Electric Eel Shock, Music From The Mars alongside Singaporean bands Wicked Aura. sub:shaman, Tim De Cotta, Teo Jia Rong, and Aya herself. An opening act will soon be determined after an open call.

This Art Collective Is on a Mission to Help Puerto Rico’s Indie Musicians After Hurricane María

Lastst week, a new initiative launched to deliver financial aid directly to Puerto Rico’s independent music scene. Organized by Buscabulla‘s Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle, along with Latina folk and rock stalwart Ani Cordero, the Puerto Rico Independent Musicians and Artists Fund (PRIMA) aims to directly serve that community, which until now wasn’t specifically identified by any other fundraising effort.
