News: Sears Launches 'Portraits of Heroes' Contest For Service Members & Veterans

Service members, their spouses, and their families as well as Veterans are invited to submit a photo of their hero, accompanied by a description of what makes this special someone "a star." These narratives which could either be personal experiences or those of a loved one should be 1,000 words or less. The winning entry's story will be used as inspiration for a song, which will be written and sung by former Marine Lance Cpl. Josh Gracin. Gracin is a country singer, who first appeared on American Idol Season 2. The winner will receive a trip for four to Nashville, Tennessee, on June 24 to 26, during which they will be able to watch Gracin record the winning song. Website
