News: New Internet Station, Indie Music Nashville, Launches
Posted on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 @ 20:54:44 UTC
Topic: Opportunities

Indie Music Nashville (IMN) launched August 17. The 24-hour station features blocks of music from the Americana, indie rock and country genres, and the plans call for expansion into inspirational and blues music blocks as well. The station was launched by Nashville-based indie label Luna Chica Records, but the programming is not confined to that label's acts. Submissions are open to any artist within the current formats. Programming will be updated weekly. In addition to new music, IMN will also feature classic hits from each format, which are no longer aired on commercial contemporary stations. Two series will be part of the initial programming. Live! will feature concerts from various locations around the country, and On The Record will feature candid conversations with artists and music industry executives in every field. Those wishing to submit music can do so by sending their CD and information to Indie Music Nashville, 2826 Dogwood Place, Nashville, TN 37204. Website
