News: Major Labels Begin Major Astroturfing Campaign to Get 3-Strikes in the US

To date, the RIAA has known better than to seriously push for a 3-strikes-type legislation in the US, knowing that it is a battle they may well lose. They had hoped that various ISPs would come to simply agree to implement a 3-strikes plan to kick people offline after 3 accusations (not convictions) of copyright infringement. But it's been nearly a year and a half since, and there's still nothing to show for it. Nothing. So, it looks like the industry is going back to plan B: trying to ram through the 3-strikes legislation. Complete Article
