I've mentioned before how often it seems that those who used to make their business model relying on artificial scarcity can't seem to shake the "but, but piracy" claims. For example, a few years back, when I attended a music industry conference, I was amazed at how many conversations went something along the lines of "We've got to stop treating customers like criminals... but we also need to wipe out those damn pirates." It's as if, when they hear about "piracy" they forget about everything else. Complete Article
