News: LimeWire Seeks Amazon Data in RIAA Case

LimeWire is reported to be seeking sales data from third-party music download services in order to gauge how much it will owe the RIAA in copyright infringement fines. The filesharing service was ordered to switch off its sharing functionality last October. This followed it being found guilty in May of facilitating mass copyright infringement where it was claimed that 93% of its traffic was made up of unlicensed content. The US courts will decide later this month how much LimeWire owes the recorded music industry in fines. Complete Article
