Court Orders LiveUniverse to Shutter Unlicensed Lyrics Sites

A federal court has ordered LiveUniverse, a network of websites run by MySpace co-founder Brad Greenspan, to cease operating four sites offering unlicensed song lyrics. National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) member companies Peermusic, Warner/Chappell and Bug Music sued LiveUniverse and Greenspan - along with a number of other companies - in August 2009 for offering unlicensed song lyrics.
