mail or anything that requires a signature.
If you include your email address with the
submission, we will notify you by email
when it arrives.
We review as many indie
artists as we can, but we can't guarantee
you a review. We'll do our best for you,
though. Each writer is given discretion
to choose which material they review and
which they do not.
Lead time for reviews
is 3-6 months, depending on submission load.
Occasionally a review may take 6 months
or more. Sometimes new reviewers flake out
and steal your CDs, or other weird happenings.
Sometimes CDs are lost in the mail, and
sometimes we lose something. This is not
intentional, things just happen that are
beyond control. Please do not send another
CD or ask, "Where's my review?!"
unless at least four months has passed.
Please respect our writer's opinion if your
music is not reviewed. Chances are, they
did not like it, and you would have gotten
a negative review if it was published.
A note to promoters,
publicists, and labels: Since Indie-Music.com
has limited resources, please do not send
large packages of mulit-artist CDs unless
you have received a specific request to
do so. We prefer to work with artists directly,
and additionally want to make our review
process as fair as possible. That means
we can't run 8 of your artists out of 30-40
reviews each month. We do not have the resources
to handle continuous calls or requests about
these submissions. Artists who submit their
material directly will be given a preference
in the selection of reviewed material.

New Writers

up with reviews, a new writer may write
